– Stature of a Perfect Man Pt 2 (The New Birth) - Samuel Dale
II PETER 1:1-5
1 ¶ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
II PETER 1:2
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
II PETER 1:3
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
II PETER 1:4
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
II PETER 1:5
5 ¶ And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
CORINTHIANS.BOOK.OF.CORRECTION_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 57-0414
E-11 This morning, for about an hour before the wife woke up, I was awake, and the Lord was revealing to me a great something about how God ties His Church together by that bonds of love. And how it must be; there's not another way for a man to ever be saved without being borned again. God willing, I want to preach on that this coming week and just getting materialized in my heart; maybe the Lord will give me a message on it.
PERFECT.FAITH_ JEFF.IN V-6 N-11 SUNDAY_ 63-0825E
26 Now, we want to speak now upon faith, and a different type of faith: "Perfect Faith." That's a great thing. Now, faith, we're told in the Bible, "Faith cometh by hearing." Now, you cannot be saved without faith. And faith is something that you have to believe it's there, that really nothing else will declare it's there but faith. Now, I'm trying to bring faith to you, so that you can be ready for this prayer line in the next few minutes.
Now, faith... "He that cometh to God must believe that He is." And it's impossible to--to please God without faith; you cannot please Him. And if you say you believe God... You have never seen Him (See?), so then you've got to believe it by faith. And if you could see Him, it would be no more faith. See? Anything that the senses declares is no more faith; it's a scientific fact (See?); it's not no more faith. But you have to accept Him by faith.
PATMOS.VISION_ JEFF.IN ROJC 69-130 SUNDAY_ 60-1204E
71 Now, ask God to... While we're talking on Revelations, ask Him to give you a revelation of this. For it can only be known by revelation, and you can only be saved by revelation. You have a knowledge of it intellectually, but you can't be saved until it's revealed to you. "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." That's what the Bible says. No man can say Jesus is the Christ until he has received the Holy Ghost. He might say, "The pastor said so; the Bible said so." Them are true. "The church says so." That is true. But you don't know yourself until the Holy Ghost has revealed it to you, and He's become in you. "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." Not by knowledge, not by intellectual.

18-2 Notice: you must be borned again. And when you're born again, you can't be born again without having faith. That's right. So, you see on my chart here, I got the very foundation. Faith is the foundation of all of it. For without faith it's impossible to please God: "He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and a Rewarder of those that diligently seek Him." See? He must be. And when you are a skeptic of the Bible, when you're skeptic of the Word being right, you just might as well stay back until first you believe it.
What is sin? Unbelief. There's only two elements that controls the human being. That's either doubt or faith, one or the other. You're possessed of one that dominates your life. Just depends on how much faith you have, how high you can rise. But first it's got to be faith. Now, let me stay on that foundation for a while.
STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-18 SUNDAY_ 62-1014M
23-4 Now, here's what we do. What's the first thing? Have faith and be borned again; that's laying the foundation. Then after we lay the foundation, secondly, you add to your foundation. "Add to your faith," Peter said here. Add to your... First you have faith, then you add virtue to your faith. This is the next column. First pour your foundation: faith. Then to your faith add virtue.
Now, right there knocks a lot of us down. Yes, sir. Yes, add virtue to your faith. That doesn't just mean living a virgin life, you know, like a woman or man, and so forth. That doesn't have nothing to do with that. The Bible said... We read over here in the Book of Luke where it said, "Virtue went out of Him." Is that right? If we're going to be like Him, we must have virtue then. We must have it to be like Him. If...

17-5 Now, notice, you must be born again; that is changed. There's got to be a change. You say, "Well, Brother Branham, I know this certain woman over here, why, she never did do anything wrong. She's a good woman. Or this such-and-such a man; he's a good man. He never does anything; you know, he doesn't harm anybody." That doesn't mean one thing. He might make a good neighbor, but he isn't a Christian until he's borned again.
Jesus said, "Except a man be born again (St. John 3) that he can't even see the Kingdom." Now, that means... "See" means "to understand." You look at anything and say, "I just don't see it"; you mean you don't understand it.

17-2 Could you imagine an old buzzard trying to have a couple of dove feathers, say, "Looky here. See, I'm a dove." See? Why we all know he's a buzzard. See, see? That's all. We can tell that he's a buzzard.
Well, now that's the way it is trying to--to manufacture Christianity. You can't do it. The first thing you've got to do is be borned again. You've got to be changed. See? And when you're changed, you become a new creation. Now, you're getting right now. See? Now, you don't have to worry about the feathers; it'll take care of itself when--when--when you're borned again. Yes, sir.
Like I've always said: You take a--a hog, scrub him up, and put a tuxudo suit on him--or a tuxedo suit, rather, on him, and turn him out there; he'll go right to a mud hole and wallow. 'Cause, you see, it wouldn't do any good. He's a hog; that's his nature. Wallowing is his nature. You've got to change his nature, and you--the rest of it'll take care of itself.
ABRAHAM_ BROOKLYN.NY SATURDAY_ 56-1208
E-16 Now, not by keeping a code, not keeping creeds, not doing this: not by good works are we saved but by His grace, His mercy. We're--we are already bought. The price is paid for. Nothing you can do about it. You can no more save yourself than a leopard could cleanse his spots. All the washing and going through would just make them brighter. Yes, sir. It's a work of God. You never chose God and never did seek God. God seeks you. It's against human nature.
Could you imagine telling a pig that he is wrong, because he drinks slop? Certainly not. He... If he could talk, he'd tell you tend to his own business. All right. That's right. But now but when that pig's nature is changed, he won't drink no more slop (See?), if he gets a lamb's nature. But it's got--it's got to be the--something converts the pig before he will ever have them kind of an attitude. There's got to be something on the inside of him change him. Not because you wash him up and put him in a better place to live, he's still a pig. See? You've got to change his nature, and then his desire is changed by--with his nature. Now, or his nature's changes his desires--better place.
WITNESSES_ JEFF.IN V-25 N-6 SUNDAY_ 53-0405E
103 You take an old hog, and wash him up, and scrub him up, and manicure his toe nails, and give it lipstick, and put it on all the nylons you want to; turn it loose, it'll go right to a wallow and wallow. The scrubbing don't do no good. It's still got the nature of a hog.
And then you take a lamb and put him in a mud hole, he will squeal till you get him out. Why? He's the nature of a lamb.
Now, the only way to keep the hog out of the mud is change his nature. That's right.
That's the only way to make a Christian: Let his nature be changed, from a sinner to a saint. See? And there's only one remedy, that's the Holy Spirit. Then you're a witness. Amen.
GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY.OF.HEALING_ CHICAGO.IL MONDAY_ 54-0719A
E-25 But now, when you come say, "Oh, I believe God's a Healer." You see, there's two men living in you, did you know that? One time we had a Indian converted in the meeting and asked him how he was getting along, after he'd received the Holy Ghost.
Said, "Well," he said, "there's been two dogs in me." Said, "One of them is a--a evil dog, and one of them is a good dog." And said, "They just fuss and fight all the time."
And he said, "Why, chief," said, "which one overcomes?"
He, chief said, "Well, it depends on which one the chief feeds the most."
Well, that's not giving any comparison to the devil and the Holy Spirit comparing it to dogs, but look, there is good in you, and there's evil in you. And there's belief and unbelief. It depends on which one you feed the most (That's all.), which one you feed the most.
CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-7 SUNDAY_ 63-0728
36-4 Look, Christ in you makes Him the center of Life of the revelation. See? Christ's Life in you makes Him the center of the revelation. Christ in the Bible, makes the Bible a complete revelation of Christ. Christ in you makes you the complete revelation of the whole thing. See what God's trying to do?
What is the new birth then? You say, "Well, Brother Branham, what is the new birth?" It is the revelation of Jesus Christ personally to you. Amen. See? Not you joined a church, you shook a hand; you done something different; you said a creed; you promised to live by a code of rules; but Christ, the Bible... He is the Word that was revealed to you. And no matter what anybody says, what takes place, it's Christ. Pastor, priest, whatever it might be... It's Christ in you. That is a--the revelation that the Church was built upon.
SEED.NOT.HEIR.WITH.SHUCK_ JEFF.IN V-6 N-4 THURSDAY_ 65-0218
143 Pentecost was as Mary. Pentecostal feast, look what Mary did. What did Mary do wrong? At a Pentecostal feast one time she was faced with a bunch of dignitaries, priests when her Son... She couldn't find Him anywhere. And she went back three day's journey she'd left Him, like the modern church today, about three times five or twenty-five has the church left--about fifty years ago or seventy-five.
Left Him at the Pentecostal feast... Mary went back up with Joseph three days looking for Him. She'd been looking for Him, couldn't find. She found Him. What did she find? She found Him in the temple discussing the Word of God with the priests. And right in the front of those priests, those dignified, Mary let the curtain drop. She did exactly the thing she should not have done. Call her God, the mother of God? A mother ought to have more wisdom than her son. And she said, "Your father and I have sought You with tears for day and night. Your father and I..." claiming that the birth wasn't supernatural, that Joseph was the father of Jesus. She denied the supernatural birth. Pentecost took speaking in tongues. They denied the birth of the Word. That's exactly what it did. They'll take so much of it, but won't take the rest of it. It denied the birth of the Word just like Mary did.
YOU.MUST.BE.BORN.AGAIN_ JEFF.IN V-11 N-5 SUNDAY_ 61-1231M
129 Now, false teachers will bring false births. True prophets will bring the Word, the birth of the Word, Christ. False prophets will bring false birth, the birth of churches, the birth of creeds, the birth of denominations. And here you are, Pentecostal brother, false sent--or sensations, and tell a man he's got the Holy Ghost 'cause he speaks with tongues. I've seen devils speak with tongues, pencils lay down and write in unknown tongues. That don't mean a thing. See, it's got to be a life: by their fruit you shall know them. "Brother Branham, do you believe in speaking in tongues?" Yes, sir. "You believe in shouting?" Yes, sir. To be a Christian, I believe that. I believe God's Word. But if the life isn't there to back it up...

84-2 Now, for the birth of the Word is Christ, not a polluted with denominations. The early church, no denominations, just the Word and Spirit irrigated. Brother, the--God laid the Word down like that, and the Holy Spirit irrigated It, and there she went. She brought forth children, certainly, but this church can't do it. She's too denominated. See, she can't do it. She's got the world mixed up with her. Look what they did.
