This book is usually termed the Revelation of Saint John, but that is incorrect. It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ given to John for Christians of all ages. It is the only book in the entire Bible that is written by Jesus Himself, through personally appearing to a scribe.

No human being could stand the full effect of that vision. His strength utterly gone, John fell at His feet as though dead. But the hand of the Lord in love touched him, and the voice of blessing said, "Fear not. Don't be afraid. I am the First and Last. I am He That liveth, and was dead; and, behold I am alive for evermore." What is there to fear? The judgment that fell upon Him at the cross, at the grave, and when He descended, was for us. He absorbed the full brunt of the wound of sin and there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. See for a surety our "Attorney" is our "Judge". He is both "Attorney" and "Judge." As Judge the "case is settled"--it is finished. There is now therefore no condemnation. Why should the church fear? What promise has He ever failed to manifest before us? Why should it fear punishment or death? It has all been overcome. Here is the mighty conqueror. Here is the One Who conquered both worlds of the seen and unseen. Not like Alexander, who conquered the world at the age of thirty-three and knew no other way to turn for further conquest, so he died a victim of sin and riotous living. Not like Napoleon, who conquered all Europe but finally was defeated at Waterloo and banished to Elba, only to find himself conquered. But nothing could conquer Christ. He that descended has now ascended above all, and unto Him has been given a Name that is above every name. Yes, He conquered death, hell, and the grave, and has the keys thereof. What He looses is loosed, and what He binds is bound. There is no changing of it. There was no conqueror before Him and there is none beside Him. He alone is the Saviour, Redeemer. He is the ONLY God: and "Lord Jesus Christ" is His Name.

110 And then he looked upon Jesus, had seven rainbow colors above Him; He was in this, which was God's covenant. And He was standing in the midst of Seven Golden Candlesticks. And He was to look upon as jasper and sardius stone. Jasper was Reuben, and sardius stone was Benjamin; that was the first and the last of the patriarchs. That Alpha and Omega; the Beginning and the Ending, and the seven rainbow colors, Seven Church Ages, the covenant with Him, and the Seven Golden Candlesticks with the seven stars... Oh, what a picture, if we get to it after while, maybe, the Lord willing. All right.
... Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending saith the Lord, which is, which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Who is He? What's this the revelation of? Jesus Christ. And here He's not a prophet. Here He is the Almighty, God manifested, the Alpha, Omega. "I'm from A to Z. I'm He That Was, Which Is, and Shall Come. I am the Almighty." Pretty clear, isn't it? No chance of controversy there. "Lord, which Was, which Is, and shall come, the Almighty."

My. The prophet couldn't stand no more, see such a vision. He just--He just sapped his strength, and he fell right down at His feet as dead. Now, watch.

180 Now, if you ever notice, watch these church ages; then we'll close. And then in the morning we're going to pick up these other things. Watch. In the... Under the--the golden candlesticks of the Jewish tabernacle in the inside, of the shewbread and so forth, there was seven golden candlesticks. All of you know that. See? There's seven church ages. That speaks of seven church ages alike.
Now if you notice in Revelations 1, we find Jesus standing in the seven church ages, the seven golden candlesticks, when he turned and saw One like the Son of man standing clothed with a... How it was, it was a Bride standing in the candlesticks drawed out.
Now, in the Old Testament, they would take these, this one candle and light it, take the other candle and light off of that one, light off of that one, one off the other one like that, till they made the entire seven candlesticks.

THE GOLDEN LAMPSTANDS
Revelation 1:12, "And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks." John does not say that he turned to see the one whose voice he heard, but he turned to see the voice. Oh, I like that. He turned to see the voice. The voice and the person are one and the same. Jesus is the WORD. John 1:1-3, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made." If you can ever get to really see the Word you will be seeing Jesus.

382. Dear Brother, would Jesus not accept worship in Revelations by John when he fell to... Why would not Jesus receive worship in Revelations by John when He--when He allowed worship before him? Why wouldn't Jesus receive worship when John wanted to worship Him?
My dear brother or sister, whoever it is, it was not Jesus that would not receive worship. In Revelations 22:8, you'll read it was the prophet, angel, who would not receive worship. When John fell down to worship the angel that had showed him these things, he said, "See that you do it not, for I am of thy fellow brethren. I am one of the prophets." See, see? "I am thy fellow brother, thy fellow servant, one of the prophets; give worship to God." It wasn't Jesus didn't accept it; it was the prophet wouldn't accept it.

Sure he was an angel; he was a messenger. But it was a prophet that revealed this whole Book of Revelations to him. Revelations the 22nd chapter and the 19th verse, I believe that's right if I've got it written down here: 22:19. I may be wrong. No, 22:9. That's what it is, I was looking at 22:9. That's right. Oh, yes, here.

360-1 {209} See? Now, the Book was so important that it is the Word of God. Now, watch. And when the Word of God is brought forth, it's got to be brought by the prophet, because that's who the Word of God comes to.
I was expecting to get a question on that in this--in this box here; I thought I'd just beat them to it a little bit, you know. I just feel there is one in there though, and so I--I just thought I'd get to it. See, see? Every Word of God is brought. The Bible doesn't change its system at all. See, it's the same thing. It's got to come to this seer that we're expecting to arrive. Now, notice Revelations 10:1-7. Now, let us read the--the 9th verse again.

360-4 {214} Now, watch. Isn't the prophet that we're looking to come, some man anointed with the--with the Spirit like Elijah? It won't be Elijah, of course, but it'll be a man like that will come down, and his very ministry is to send, to restore back to this fallen people through these denominational twists, back to the original faith of the fathers.
Now, if that don't tie that Bible together, I--I don't know what does. I--I--I--I can't say no more about it, 'cause that's it. Now, you just arrived. That's the truth. You take anything from there, you twist it. See? So it's just got to be that way.

1018-Q-291 291. Some say Brother Branham is the Son of man. I thought the Pillar of Fire was the Son of man. Am I mistaken?
Well, that's a good question, very good. But I am not the Son of man, but a son of man. There's quite a difference. Jesus Christ was the Son of man, the Son of God, the Son of man, the Son of David.
Now, the reason that question probably was asked this person or been said, because people regard me as a seer, which I have never... I've got a question in here just blasting me on that. See? But I--I--I--you--you... When I read these questions you'll see why I answer things the way I do. Until I am definitely led to do something (See?), then I--I say what I must say. But that hour hasn't arrived.
So I am not the--the--the anointed Son of man. I don't claim to be His prophet. Many times I've said it when I didn't think I said it, catch myself on the tape. But I say that sometimes, because if you want to give it in terms, a "prophet" is in the English term is merely "a preacher." Anybody knows that; get the dictionary. See? A "prophet' is "a preacher" under the English dictionary. But under the Hebrew or the Greek, a prophet is "a seer, one who foresees things and foretells things." But under the English interpretation, a prophet is "a seer."
So I don't want to call myself anything but your brother. I am your brother, and you just regard me as Brother Bill, or Brother Branham, or whatever you want to do about that. That--that's fine. That's--that's any... What you believe, keep that to yourself. You see?

And now compare that, and then put another Scripture, Luke 17:30, Malachi 4: As Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, the anointed Word of the hour, so will these men, not man, men, anointed ones, resist the Truth.
In the very day that the Son of man is revealed, Revelations 10:1-7, read it when you get home... The seventh angel's Message, opening up the Seals... What is it? Not the angel is the Son of man, but the messenger is revealing the Son of man. Can you get it separated now? That's where it seems to be so hard for you. You see? Not the Son of man Himself, but the seventh angel, the seventh messenger, is revealing to the public the Son of man, because it's left the shuck. He can't organize it; it's the Grain itself again. "And in that day Jannes and Jambres will withstand--anointed ones, make-believers, and unbelievers, the church formal and the Pentecostals--stand up against the true Grain. But let them alone; their folly will be made manifest as theirs was." You understand now?

Jeremiah who was a vindicated, outcast, but a vindicated prophet of God, they hated the man. They throwed unripe--overripe fruit at him and every thing else, and he put the curse upon them. And the things that he done... And laid out there on his sides and things, and give signs that Israel was wrong. Every prophet, true prophet that ever raised in the world cursed those denomination organizations of the church. How could it change by the unchanging God?
The Holy Spirit is the Prophet of this hour. He's vindicating His Word, proving It. The Holy Spirit was the Prophet of Moses' hour. The Holy Spirit was a Prophet of Micaiah's hour. The Holy Spirit which wrote the Word comes and confirms the Word.
