REVELATION 3:1-6
1 ¶ And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
REVELATION 3:2
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Did you get it now? There are those twins again. There are those two trees again, growing side by side in the same earth, partaking of the same nourishment, drinking in the same rain, and benefiting by the same sun. But they come from DIFFERENT seeds. One tree is FOR the Word of God, exactly as God gave it, and loves and obeys it. The other tree is from the seed that is anti the Word of God and changes it where it wants to. It substitutes its own creeds and dogmas for the living true Word exactly as did Cain, who ended up killing Abel. But fear not little flock. Stay with the Word. Keep that Word between you and the devil. Eve did not do that and she failed. And when the church lets down on the Word she goes into the depths of the darkness of Satan.

136 All right, "Hold fast that which you've heard, lest it die."
Now, the 4th verse, I believe it is:
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
"Now, don't make a denomination out of it. We don't want to do that." No, I've... I--I read the wrong verse, didn't I, or did I not? Yeah, yeah, that's right. Yeah. All right. Yeah, "In Sardis, has not defiled their garments." There was a few of them that still would not bow down to that thing, and kept themselves pure and clean, the old trace from way back to Pentecost, the Spirit-filled. A lot of them then in Luther's age begin to denominate. What'd they do? Started right back like the Bible said, acting like their mammy, come right back down, started their denominations. But a few of them stood right out, that they wouldn't do it; they stayed right out for God. Said they... He said, "Well, all right, you got a few names, and they are worthy to walk before Me, dressed in white."
Don't make a denomination. Don't take up the Nicolaitane doctrine now. Don't start your denomination off again, but just stay free in God. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you go on. There's a few of them still left.

144 Now, the escaped ones is the one He's talking about. That's these right here, this little bitty group here that's living by justification. Now, look. They come out; they seen the Light; Luther turned right... And after the death of Luther, not Luther; Luther never made no organization; it was that bunch after him. Wesley never made no organization; it was that group after him. Them old founders of Pentecost never made an organization; it was the group after them. That's the one that does it (See?); it's the second round that does it. The real angel of Light will never make an organization. You'll find out on this--on this Pentecostal age what comes at the end of that organization too (See?) when the Holy Spirit reveals it to us.

145 Now, He said, "You've got a little bit of life left, just a little bit. It's ready to die; it's dwindling; it's just justification. They can swing you any way. You haven't got any Life yet, because you took the wrong name. But you're--you're at least you've been snatched out. See, you are... You--you've escaped the Roman church. You've escaped all that dogma, and you've at least come out that far." Now, you're reading the same Bible. Now, but the same Bible that teaches the Holy Spirit... He never condemned them for what they had. "Just hold on to that till I come. See, just keep holding on."

"And they shall walk with Me." That is what God says He will bestow upon them for this upright walk. That is part of their inheritance that He has reserved for them. If they were willing to walk with Him through the toils and snares of life and be an honor to Him, He was going to reward them. He is not forgetful of our labour of love. God will always recompense us for our efforts to please Him.

Yes, they had walked through the world and had not partaken of it. They had not let the world systems overcome them. When the illustrious names of that age had yielded to the blandishment of the state and chosen political mindedness rather than Spiritual mindedness and were on their way back into the world, these few stood for the Word of God, and thereby honored the Lord. Now He would honor them in return. For they shall walk with Him in white. They had identified themselves with Him on earth and now He would identify Himself with them in the New Jerusalem. And how marvelous will be that identification! It makes me rejoice and yet it makes me weep to think of His condescension, for you will note that He is not dressed in another color different from the saints, as earthly leaders would so do. No, they are like Him; He is like them. They are like Him, even as John said; for "they see Him as He is."

"For they are worthy." Do you realize Who is saying this? It is Jesus, the Worthy One, Himself. This is the only One Who is accounted worthy to take the book out of the hand of Him Who sits upon the throne. And now this Worthy One is saying to His saints, "You are worthy." Here is this One, the only One qualified to judge, (and indeed all judgment is committed unto Him,) and He says, "You are worthy." These words are as astounding as are the words in Romans 8:33b, "God says I am righteous." (Way Translation.) There in the white light of God's righteousness, hear the sweet voice of Jesus as He says, "These are Mine. They are righteous. They are worthy. They shall walk with Me in white."

To begin with, there is no basis for the claims that the 'Lamb's Book of Life' is not the same as the 'Book of Life.' The Book of Life might be called the Lamb's Book of Life, or Christ's Book of Life, or even Thy Book and Book of the Living. Only names are written in it. Revelation 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, (the beast) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Revelation 17:8, "The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is." Revelation 20:12-15, "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." You can see that though there are other books mentioned, there is always the reference to ONE book containing names. In the Revelation it is called the 'Lamb's Book of Life', or the 'Book of Life.'

29-5 He never uses--loses His pattern. He always did it by the pattern. He's done it every time by the pattern. He does it again, calling out His virtuous Bride in the last days, the lovely Rebekah waiting for her Isaac. What a beautiful time.
Here it brings into view the two Books that's going to be mysterious to you when you read the Book of the Seven Church Ages. The two Books, Book of Life... One says you can put your name on, and it never comes off, and the other says you take his name out of the Book of Life. This brings it perfectly in view, right here. (I'm going to stop a few minutes maybe on a few notes here and catch this before we close.)

30-1 Life is a sacred thing to God, and it's recorded in a Book. God's the Author of Life. Do you believe that? Our natural life here we have here is just a perversion. It really should be the right Life to begin with. But it's perverted by the natural birth.
The first life or your first union, you were joined in at birth by nature. A natural act, a natural human being associated, man and woman together, associated together in sexual affair which brought your first life here, and that's associated with sin and death.

43-1 God had to open up those Seven Seals, not in a denomination. I've always been against it. But out of the denomination, that He might take a Bride, not a denominational bride; He couldn't do it. It's against His own Word. He opened those Seven Mysteries in there, and it shows forth, brings forth those things that's been hid since the foundation of the world--might be revealed in the last days to sons of God. Been brought that forth now before the people that they see it. There you now--to this undenominational Bride.
Oh my, there is your two Books. One of them is the Lamb's Book of Life. Your name on there is predestinated on there. It can't go, because you can no more take that away, than nothing, because it was foreordained to be on there. But the regular Book of Life, you can take that off at any time. See? If you don't repent, it's off anyhow, 'cause you are going to stand in the judgment. The Bride don't even stand in the judgment. It goes in the rapture.

119 Just like last night, speaking... When you get the book, you're going to see maybe a little confusion there of what I said, "The two books of Life." It's the same Book, but one of them is your natural birth, the other one is your spiritual birth. One leads out to the other one, just like a stalk of wheat. Whenever you talk of me, you talk of me as a living person. But there's a part of me here is that person, that must perish. That's the book that the name comes off of. But the eternal one, the predestinated one, the elected one, the name never can come from there because it was always on it. It can never be taken off. You'll notice it in the book, so we save your confusion. You'll find it that way. Because I think, Brother Vayle, who put the right grammar to it, reminded me of it today. I said, "That's right."

120 The Baptists believe there's two separate books. And in one way it is two separate books, and another way it isn't two separate books. I'm two separate people... I'm body and soul and spirit, three separate people, but I'm... Only one makes me as a being.
There's only real one Book of Life. Like there was one germ of--of the wheat that come up through the stalk, and went through the tassel, and out through the husk, and into the wheat; all the way along there... You say, "Now, that's a wheat laying there." It isn't the wheat; it's the stalk, but together it's the wheat. See, it's the wheat because it's all one stalk, but the wheat is what you're talking about, the grain at the end of it. The others was a carrier; it must perish. And that's the one--one place sounds like you can have your name taken off the Lamb's Book of Life, and the other place you can't do it. So that's where it is. It's all in that great revelation there, which was made known during the time of the Seven Seals. Why--it is why some people can't believe It.

44 Like in the book here, and the spot there we was talking about the--the two Books being one, the Book of Life. The first Book of life coming up, was when you were born, that was your natural birth. See? But then one time, way back down in there, there was a little grain of Life as I've explained to some of the young sisters at the house this afternoon. See, there's a little grain of Life laying there which you'd wonder, "Where did It come from? What--what these strange things?"
I was saying this, taking for myself, like you was going to say, "William Branham, well, forty years ago, the William Branham, this and the same one tonight." And somebody back there would say, "We're, very... He was a rank rascal." See? Because I was born of Charles and Ella Branham. In their nature I was a sinner; I came to the world, a liar, and all the habits of the world laid right in me. But down in there too, was another nature present (See?), predestinated, was in there by God. In this same body (See?) two natures in there.
Well, I only catered to one. As it growed, I gooed as a baby, "Da-da." First thing you know, I become a liar, become everything else that's a sinner, because I raised up that way. But down in there was a little speck of Life all the time.

32-2 Now, your old book is gone with your old union. Now, your name in your old--in your--has been transferred. Now, you say, "Do you mean to tell me, that my old book..." God put it in the sea of His forgetfulness. You stand perfectly before God.
Now, your name is now in the new Book, not in the Book of Life, but the Lamb's Book of Life. What the Lamb redeemed, not the old book of your natural union, but you're new Bride. Hallelujah! Your new Life is in the Lamb's Book of Life, your marriage certificate (Hallelujah.) where your true eternal germ from the beginning takes hold.

Now I am sure that you have noticed that those whose names were in the Book of Life were a part of the religious order of that day that centered around the true God and worship of Him, though they did not worship according to Truth (Word). Like Judas they didn't go all the way. See how Judas was chosen of God. He was instructed in truth. He shared knowledge of the mysteries. He had a ministry of power granted unto him and he healed the sick and cast out devils in Jesus' Name. But when the show-down came, he sold out for gold and political power. He did not go up to Pentecost to receive the Spirit of God. He was devoid of the Spirit. Make no mistake about it, a person that is truly baptized by the Holy Ghost into the body of Christ receiving the fullness of the Spirit will be in the WORD ALL THE WAY. That is the evidence of being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Judas failed. Multitudes fail right there. And when they fail to go on in that Word, their names are taken off the Book of Life.

We ain't... We haven't got time to justify that. But, brother, only the Holy Ghost Bride will be in the rapture. See? The Bible strictly--the others won't be lost.
Look. Who's going to judge the earth? Saints. Daniel said, "I saw Him come to the Ancient of time, and--and He came with ten thousands times ten thousands of His Saints." Is that right? The rapture, the church had gone on. Then they come down, and the judgment was set, and the Books were opened. Is that right? And another Book was opened which was the Book of Life (the sanctified believer that hadn't received the Holy Ghost).

1125-295 Sanctification is when your name goes on the book as a believer. Your word--your name is wrote in His Blood. See? Sanctification does that; and you come up, when He's trusted you up to this far, and then come up and you say, "Well, would He know it?"
Yes, He knowed it. He knowed you wouldn't do it in the beginning. He knowed Judas wouldn't do it. He knowed him from the beginning; he was the son of perdition. But them thing has to be fulfilled. See? The Word has to be fulfilled, although types and shadows. Oh, my. We could stay on that for hours.
