 143-1 SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

Now when God is silent we had better be silent. But where He has spoken we had better speak, too, and say what He has already said. He told us the evidence, or what would happen after being baptized with the Holy Ghost was that we would have the Teacher come and teach all truth. But that Teacher was an INSIDE teacher, not an outside teacher. If the Spirit wasn't inside, you wouldn't hear the truth and receive it by revelation if you heard it every moment of the day. That was the sign of the indwelling Spirit in the days of Paul. Those who were filled with the Holy Ghost heard the Word, received it and lived by it. Those who did not have the Spirit heard it only as carnal men, put a wrong interpretation on it and went into sin.

SEVEN.CHURCH.AGES_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-2  WEDNESDAY_  54-0512

120    No matter how saintly you are, how godly you are, how much of a minister or lay member, or whatever you are, you'll never be able to get anywhere with God till you get in the Spirit. That's right. I don't mean get in emotion. I mean get in the Spirit. See, see? You get in emotion, do anything. But when you get in the Spirit, you see things. That's right.

SEPARATION.FROM.UNBELIEF_  PHOENIX.AZ  MONDAY_  55-0228

E-49    So what did... Elisha got in the Spirit, then God begin to show him some things. And if you want to really get to see some things, get in the Spirit.

And the first thing you know, when he got into the Spirit, well then, all of a sudden he raised up and said, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, I want you to go out there and dig this whole valley full of ditches (a desert parched just about like between here and South Mountain). I want you to dig it all full of ditches, for THUS SAITH THE LORD, you're not going to see any winds, or thunders, or hear anything, but these ditches will be filled full of water in the morning. THUS SAITH THE LORD."

PATMOS.VISION_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 69-130  SUNDAY_  60-1204E

  90    Now, the 10th verse:

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me the... voice,... of a trumpet,

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day,...

Now, you can't do any good until first you get in the Spirit; God can't use you. You're--you're--you're--you're... All your efforts are--are in vain until first you do it in the Spirit. "If I will sing, I will sing in the Spirit. If I'll pray," said Paul, "I'll pray in the Spirit." And then if there is anything that comes through you that's any good, it has to be revealed to me by the Spirit and confirmed by the Word, made manifest by the results it bears.

PATMOS.VISION_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 69-130  SUNDAY_  60-1204E

133    Now, he was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. All right, and the first thing he heard when he was in the Spirit on the Lord's day... Now, we got the 10th verse.

... in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and he heard... a voice, as... a trumpet,

Let's not pass one parable now. If we have to take it tomorrow, we can take it. See? Somebody just watch the clock, that it don't get late on me.

All right, now, "was in the Spirit on the Lord's day..." Now, remember, the first thing you have to do is what? Get in the Spirit. How's these revelations going to ever come to you? Get in the Spirit. How you ever going to get the Holy Ghost? Get in the Spirit. Get in the Spirit.

When you was a sinner and you went to a dance, you got in that spirit. Oh, my, you started clapping your hands, and patting your feet, and shindigging, and throwing your hat on the floor, and going around and around, acting silly. You was in the spirit of it. Could you imagine a fellow, was a dance fiend, going to a dance, say, "Well, and you all having a pretty good time, I suppose."

"Oh," they'd say, "you wallflower, get out of here." See?

43-6 PATMOS.VISION  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.2

"I was in the Spirit." Isn't that just beautiful? My, I love that. You could just call those words, "The whole of the Christian life." If we are going to live as Christians, we have to be in HIS Spirit. John was not talking about being in his own spirit. That would not have brought these visions. It had to be the Spirit of God. It has to be the Spirit of God with us, too, or all our efforts are in vain. Paul said, "I will pray in the Spirit, I will sing in the Spirit, I will live in the Spirit." If there is anything good that will come to me it has to be revealed by the Spirit, confirmed by the Word, and made manifest by the results it bears. As surely as John needed to be in the Spirit to receive these tremendous revelations fresh from Jesus, we need to be in the Spirit to understand the revelations that God has given to us to live by in His Word, for it is the same Spirit.

CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-7  SUNDAY_  63-0728

58-1    Notice. Next--secondly, the manifested Christ in you, the hope of glory. That great manifested God in Christ, now Christ manifested in you. We'll hurry.

Look. What was once God's great secret, great mysterious secret in His mind, is now put in the hearts of the believer, that is the Body of Christ. What was God's once great secret in His mind before the foundation of the world is now made manifest. Think of it, friends. Oh, I'm--I'm sure we don't--we don't get it. Well, I--I can't see it the way I ought to, and--and I'm sure you don't. See?

CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-7  SUNDAY_  63-0728

58-3    But God's great mystery, what the eternal God had as a mystery, has now been unfolded in Jesus Christ, then was given out down to His Church. What was once in God's mind is now in the Body of Christ, Jesus making love to the Church, His Bride, whispering secrets to Her. You know how you tell your wife things, you know, the little girl you're going to marry. You love her so much, you just tell her the secrets, and get her up next to you, and love you and everything. You know how it is? That's what God--Christ is doing to the Church. See? He's letting Her know the secrets--just the secrets. Not these flirters; I mean His Wife. See? All right. Now, look. No.

CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-7  SUNDAY_  63-0728

74-1    He, the Head, is the Firstfruits of the resurrection. (We'll go off this revelation. Just a little while longer, if you say so. All right, all right; just a little bit now.) He is the Firstfruits of the resurrection. Is that right? What? Then what is He? He's the Head of the Body, which is His Church, Bride. Uh-huh. Then the Bride-body must follow the Head, for it is part of His resurrection and part of the mystery. It's impossible for it not to go. Oh, my. It's part of God's mystery. How God revealed Himself here and raised it up by the Word, so He reveals the Church and raises it up by the same Word. It's a part of His threefold mystery.

REVELATION.CHAPTER.ONE_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 9-67  SUNDAY_  60-1204M

80    When our Lord was on earth, the disciples asked Him and said, "Master, will You at this time restore the kingdom back to Israel?"

And Jesus said that, "It's not for you to know this hour or time." And no one would know, said even the Son, as yet, did not know." But after His death, burial, and resurrection, and ascension into glory, He receives from God the future of the church. Then He returned back to bring this Message to the church, and this message of His coming and the condition of His churches down through the age.

He could not do it before His death, burial, and resurrection, because He had not yet knew it. But did you notice how the Scripture reads here?

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him... (Christ),...

How that God the Father gave the revelation to His Son Jesus Christ. And He sent His Angel to John to signify these things which was--which was, which is, and which shall be. Oh, it's set beautifully.

14-2 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1

Now I said that this Book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus and what He is doing in the churches for those seven ages. It is a revelation because the disciples, themselves, didn't know these recorded truths. It had not been previously revealed to them. You remember that they came to Jesus in the Book of Acts and asked Him, "Are You at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" And He said, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons." Those men were still thinking of Jesus having an earthly kingdom. But it was a spiritual kingdom that He was going to build. Even He could not tell them about His place in it, for the Father had not revealed it unto Him. But now after His death and resurrection, and at this particular time in His mediatorial ministry, He is able to set forth here in this revelation of Himself to John what His glory and presence in the church would mean and do.

ANGEL.OF.THE.LORD_  TOLEDO.OH  WEDNESDAY_  51-0718

E-13    When some blind men followed Him, He touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith be it unto you." The Father had not showed Him nothing about that; He just touched their eyes. But when calling Lazarus, where He'd seen, He said, "Lazarus, come forth." And to the other people who the Father had showed Him by vision, what He was to do, He called them, and so forth. Then when the others come by, He touched them, and said, "According to your faith."

The woman that had the blood issue touched the hem of His garment; He turned around and said, "Virtue has gone from Me. Somebody touched Me." The Father hadn't showed Him, but it was sensitive (the Spirit), that virtue went out, for the Father had honored her faith in His Son. You see what I mean? And there she was healed.

DO.YOU.NOW.BELIEVE?_  BATTLE.CREEK.MI  SUNDAY_  52-0817

E-11    Now, if Jesus done nothing, now why didn't He heal that crippled man, or the twisted man, or the lame man, or the halt man? Is because the Father had not showed him. Is that right? Do you believe that's the reason? And He only healed what the Father showed Him. Then if He said, "A little while, and the world seeth Me no more, yet you'll see Me, for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world." Is that right?

Hebrews 13:8 said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever the same: same in love; same in power; same in compassion; same in works; same in signs; same in wonders. You believe that?

"Why," they say, "He died."

Yes, that's right. But He rose again, and He appeared back, the same lovely Jesus. Do you believe that?

REV.CHAP.4.PT.2.24.ELDERS_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 585-643  SUNDAY_  61-0101

97    I hope there's enough background to when I hit something after while. I'm going to show you. You see this oil? Now, what I've told you, the background, to see that it isn't man, it's God, I'll point to this. All right.

Now, "Come up hither," was the voice. And when he opened he heard the trumpet sound, and then immediately John was in the Spirit, was in the Spirit, and as quick as he got in the Spirit he begin to see things. You begin to see things when you get in the Spirit. First you got to get in the Spirit. Is that right?

MIGHTY.GOD.UNVEILED_  PHIL.PA  V-3 N-22  MONDAY_  64-0629

24-3    Now, the only way that you're ever going to be able to do it, my brethren, is this. And brethren of the world (of the different parts of the world, I might say), there's only one way for that--for that director to do. He has to get in the same spirit that the composer was in, then he's got it. And when the church, the symphony itself (where the world's a-watching for these signs and wonders), when the church, and the Composer, and the director all get in the Spirit of the Composer, then when they say, "The days of miracles is past," it don't hit the right note. But when it gets in the right swing of it and the right spirit of it... How you going to do it until the Spirit comes down of the Composer? Amen.
