« E-81 † Civilization has traveled with the sun. We all know that. Oldest civilization is China and constantly... And as civilization comes, sin heaps up, keeps heaping. And now it's hit the West Coast. There's a sound barrier, or an iron curtain separating the east and west. There's no more people out there in the ocean. You go plumb on over till you get to east again. And sin has constantly came.

When the Indian lived here, he had no sin. He had a little tribal wars. But when the white man had come, he brought whiskey, women, murder, and everything else. And sin has constantly heaped up. And as sin heaps up... The Bible said when the enemy comes in like a flood, God would raise up a standard against it. The Word of God would raise up a standard. The Word would be more manifested, more manifested.

The Holy Ghost struck first on the West Coast, some cross-eyed colored man, down here in California. Holy Ghost struck on California with speaking in tongues. Then came Divine healing campaign, and here we are at the end time. Hallelujah. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever... You believe it? Let us bow our heads just a moment.

« E-17 † I was looking and seeing little--little groups here and there, that say, "Well, there's too many of them?" No there's not. Every one of them's having success some way. And every person can be healed, glory to God for it. That's right. Everyone, everyone... It's a good thing.

Now, a few years ago when I started, there was none of that going on. And the only thing that this has done, and this supernatural, has wakened ministers out of the sense-bound realm into a place to where they see God is present. They take His Word; start a healing campaign; God heals the sick.

You see what... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] That's just exactly. Search it through anywhere you want to, and see if there's anything any more Supernatural than that. That's right.

But wonderful what God is doing. He started... He started a universal revival of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Now, we're very thankful for that.

« 64 † Now watch, now He's speaking back to Israel. Now, what did He say? "For, behold the day cometh (way over) that shall burn."

But to you that fear my name... the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the--in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. (Not... The day that He shall burn the earth, we'll tread upon their ashes. That's the Millennium, of course, see.)

Remember... the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded... him in Horeb for all Israel's, with the statutes and judgment.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming... and great and dreadful day of the LORD:

And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

« 241 † Watch. Now Malachi 4, let me read this. He's going to come again...

... behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea,...

That's today. I walk down the street and see these people. You can talk to them, and they laugh at you, make fun of you. I think, "What is it?" The other day I was walking along down the side of the square down here; I was talking to some people, and they just said, "Aw..." walked on. Something just said to me, "They're atomic fodder, soon to be ashes scattered upon the ground. Let them alone. You spoke your piece. Get ready and get out of here." Hallelujah. I ought not have said that I guess. "Get yourself ready. Gird up your loins; I'm calling you." That's the reason I'm waiting.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; yea, all the proud,... and all that do wickedly, shall be as stubbles:... (That's exactly what it'll be. What happens when a great, some of you farmers, when a heavy fire hits a wheat field when she's just stubble? She just lays her flat with ashes behind. That's what will do when that--when she strikes.)... the day... cometh, that shall burn them up saith the LORD of host, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (There'll be nothing left of them.)

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness rise with healing in his wings;... you shall go forth, and grow up as calves in the stall. (That's the Millennium.)

Now, that could not have been John. It could not, because the world would've been destroyed then. But here He said in Matthew 3, He sends a messenger before Him. And Jesus said, "That's the Elijah that was to come to prepare the way before Me. But before this great atomic bomb hits, I'll send to you Elijah the prophet."

And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

51-0718 THE.ANGEL.OF.THE.LORD_ TOLEDO.OH WEDNESDAY_

« E-7 † And if there is no Divine healing now, there is no resurrection of the body. Divine healing is the earnest of our redeemed body. Did you ever think of that? If there's no Divine healing, then when you go at the grave, that's all of it. You'll be there forever, and your dust will go away, and there'll be no more of you. See? If there... We have the earnest of our salvation, and completeness, back the way we was in the garden of Eden.

And I think that the power of God that would take a cancer-ridden woman here, that the doctor's has just given a few days, and she's one of the thousands that's on records, not just the man, the person's testimony, but the doctors testimony, one of the thousands. And her eaten up (with a few hours to live), by cancer, and by the earnest of her redeemed body will put her in the condition it is now, what will it be when she draws the full value off of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? That's just the down... You know what the down... the earnest is? The earnest is the down payment on anything that holds it, a surety, secures it. Now, she's just got the earnest of it by being healed with a--a hideous cancer, that would've taken her life, and here she is setting well and normal.

« E-31 † No wonder David cried out, "My flesh shall rest in hope, because He will not suffer my Holy One to see corruption, neither will He leave His soul in hell."

All back there, all pointing to Calvary. Then, in Jesus lays the complete of salvation, the complete of Divine healing, a... If there is no Divine healing now, there is no resurrection of the dead. Oh, I'd like for you to wade over that. That's right. We have the firstfruits of our inheritance (is that right?), the earnest of our salvation. Is that right?

The little touch that we have, when I walk up there to that screen, awhile ago, and they were screaming, and praising God, and the Holy Spirit falling, and tears rolling down cheeks, when he was singing, "All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name." When I stood this morning, and heard that little duet this morning, sing that beautiful hymn, I suppose they sang it again tonight. And the Christians there, them old veterans that was beaten in war, and the tears rolling down their cheeks, what was it? It was the earnest of their salvation. The Holy Spirit there, of--of earnest, of... The earnest is the down payment, just what... something to hold it.

« E-22 † Mr. Best got up there and laughed two or three times and preached a very good Campbellite sermon. I'm a Baptist. I know what Baptist doctrine is. So he preached a Campbellite sermon on the resurrection. He didn't even believe the miracles of Jesus Christ did. Lazarus died again. He preached in all in the resurrection when this mortal puts on immortality. Of course, any Christian believes that, that there'd be a resurrection, but if there's no attributes of the resurrection, if there's no earnest of the resurrection, then there is no resurrection.

If there is no Divine healing, then there is no resurrection. Now, you couldn't disprove that if you could by the Scripture. See? I'm arguing the points of Christ. See? Because we have the earnest of our salvation, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Is that right? That's the down payment, the earnest which holds it secure in heaven for us. And then if there is no Divine healing to make a cancer-ridden body come normal and well again, there is no resurrection of the dead (That's right.); we have no earnest of it at all; there's no plan made for it. So that settled it. Mr. Best commence to going on, and the audience actually laughed at him.

And so he said, "Let me see that Divine healer come forth and perform." He got real angry, and he said, "Let me see that Divine healer come forth and perform."

« E-17 † And any time when you deal with the Word s-i-n, you have to deal with every attribute that goes with it. You cannot preach salvation to the soul without preaching bodily healing; you just can't do it. You can't cut the Bible up like that, because it will--it's inseparable. The same Man died at the cross, He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we were healed the same day, the Blood from the same veins. See? So you--it's inseparable.

« E-9 † When you got saved, God gave you a checkbook, as it were; and at the bottom of every check it's got Jesus' Name signed in it. And everything that Jesus died for becomes your personal property. It's yours; it's already paid for. There's nothing you have to do to get it. Just don't be afraid of the endorsement. If Christ, when He died at Calvary, He finished everything that was in the redemptive plan. Everything was completed. When He died at Calvary, He raised His hands which was tacked to the cross, and said, "It's finished." What's finished? All's been finished. Everything that Satan done to the human race, the price was paid for, and we are completely redeemed tonight in Christ from all of our--ever what happened.

And no one can preach salvation without preaching Divine healing. See? You can't preach redemption of the soul without preaching redemption of the body. See, when you can't deal with sin in any measure, 'less you deal with sickness and every attribute. Sickness is the results of sin. Sickness is an attribute of sin.

« E-18 † You will die. Lazarus was raised from the grave but died again. See? But if there is no Divine healing, which is the earnest of our resurrection, there is no resurrection.

And if there is no freedom from sin, and living above sin, and free from sin, then there is no heaven to go to. This is just the earnest of our salvation that we have now through the works of the Holy Spirit.

So Divine healing has already been purchased for every creature. It's your faith in the finished work of Calvary.

« E-24 † God... When man was made and put here on earth, we find out that he was made not to sin. He was made a perfect man. Sin's what caused the fall. And now, he's in a twofold aspect. He is, one, he is spirit. Next, he's material. One, he's heavenly, a son of God. The next, he's a creature of destination. And he's got to be gone back to the dust on the account of the fall. And Jesus came to redeem that man.

Now, I want you to notice. Sickness and sin is so closely associated together, that it's almost like the soul and body. It's inseparable. Man's got to die. His soul is full of sin, and his body is full of sickness, and death is pronounced on him. He's got to go. His soul is sick and his body is sick.

And Jesus come to redeem both of them (That's right.), not just one. His soul... He came to bring complete redemption. And we only have the earnest of our complete salvation now. If there is no Divine healing now, there's no resurrection of the body. That's correctly.

« E-33 † The earnest of our redeemed body... And if God can reach down, and take a cancer-ridden, like Miss Florence Nightingale, in my book there, you who've seen it, the great-granddaughter of the Florence Nightingale, the founder of the Red Cross. If God can reach down to that poor, wretched mortal, laying there, that couldn't even raise her hands, to shake hands, and couldn't speak till I could hear her. And put her to a hundred and fifty-five pounds in perfect health... That's the earnest of our resurrected body.

Some of these days, my body may not be but a spoonful of ashes, but God shall send Jesus Christ, and all those other dead in Christ shall rise and come forth with Him, made in His likeness. Don't you believe that? What is it? Prayer.

« 40 † Now, now let's talk about the death side. Now, how could a person on that estate, in that kind of a condition, ever be sick? Because that your body is not yet redeemed. Your body is not redeemed. No matter how much, how good you are, and how saintly and how holy, how much Holy Spirit, that's only your soul. And your soul is not completed yet. It's just got the blessing, the promise of God, which is the earnest of our salvation. But now, if we have no earnest of our resurrection, no Divine healing, then I'll have no assurance or nothing to prove to me that there is a resurrection.

« E-50 † Jesus couldn't come to redeem us from just sin without redeeming us from sickness or all the things that goes with it, even to death. He redeemed us from death. And we do not die. There's not a Scripture in the Bible that says a Christian dies. We have Everlasting Life and cannot die. God promised to resurrect the body in the last days. We rest in this assurance.

Now, we have salvation, happiness and joy, which is the earnest of our salvation, of our complete redemption someday. And we have Divine healing as the earnest of our immortal bodies which is coming on.

When we receive the--the attributes of His death into this old, physical, sin-cursed body. It brings it back, snaps it back again to life again to prove to us that there's a land beyond the river, where someday we're going where there is no sickness, nor sorrows, nor death in the complete Eden again. « 11 † And I do believe in Divine healing; it's one of the great doctrines of the Bible. But Divine healing has more to it than just Divine healing. Divine healing only says that "there is a God who's coming again." What does Divine healing speak of? It's the earnest of our resurrection. If there's no Divine healing then there is no resurrection, see. And if there is no Holy Spirit now to baptize us, there is no Eternal Life in the world to come. The Bible said, "This is the earnest of our salvation." And you know what the earnest is? Is the "down payment," see. If you go down and pay... Say you bought a farm, they wanted ten thousand dollars for it, and you paid two thousand, that's your "earnest" money, they call it the earnest of it. Now, if this baptism of the Holy Spirit is just the earnest on what's coming, oh, what will it be when we--when we get the full price? It'll be glorious!

« E-11 † And it's strange that people, speaking on Divine healing, that they will not accept it. And they'll accept... How could you preach salvation for the soul without including Divine healing, for sickness is an attribute of sin? Before we had any sickness, we had no sin. Sickness came as the result of sin.

Now, if a big animal had his paw in my side--call it sickness--and was scratching my side and tearing me to pieces, it isn't necessary just to cut the animal's paw off. Just knock him in the head. That kills paw and all.

So then, when you kill sin, you kill every attribute of it. See? So, you... sickness is the result or an attribute of sin, maybe not your sin, but something you've inherited. And so, when you preach salvation for the soul, it has to be for the body too. Now, it's the earnest of our resurrection. If there is no Divine healing, there is no resurrection, for it's just like the earnest, the same as the joy of the Lord and the Holy Spirit, is the earnest of our salvation.

« 72 † Like you women claiming you got Holy Ghost, and going out here and wearing shorts and things, how could you do it? How could the Spirit of God in you ever let you do such a thing as that? It just can't be so. Certainly, it can't be. He's not a filthy spirit; He's a holy Spirit.

73 And then when you become subject to that Spirit, it throws your whole being subject to that Spirit. And that Spirit is nothing in the world but this Seed Word made manifest, or quickened, hallelujah, made alive. And when the Bible said, "Don't do this," that body quickly turns to It. There is no question.

And what is it? It's the earnest of the resurrection. This body will be raised up again, because it's already started. It was once subject to sin, and mire and corruption, but now it's got the earnest; it's turned Heavenly. Now, that's the earnest that you're going in the Rapture. It's the earnest.

74 A sick person laying, dying, nothing left but death; that's all can happen. I've seen a shadows of people, done eat up with cancer and tuberculosis; and see them persons, a little while after that, perfectly normal and strong. If there is no Divine healing, then there is no resurrection, 'cause Divine healing is the earnest of the resurrection. Amen!

75 You know what the earnest money is, don't you? It's the down payment. "He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes we're healed." Notice how wonderful! We love Him.

« 357 † Now watch. Look, them hands designed this for His Beloved Bride, designs in tenderly love for His Bride.

358 Remember that the Holy Ghost descended on Jesus, which, Jesus was a part of the earth. Why? The germ of God, the Life of God, was designed in the womb of a woman (that right?), which was the earth. All right. And then the Life of God came in, so, "He was the beginning of the creation of God." See? And then that Blood of God, that was there by that germ; when it was shed at Calvary, dropped back upon the earth. What for? To redeem the earth. Now, it's been justified; it's been sanctified; called, and claimed; and now it's to receive its baptism of Fire, and be cleansed for Jesus and His Bride.

359 And you are these other parts that's drawed out of this earth. The earth, you're a part of the earth; your body. Your soul is part of God, a attribute of God, displayed here on earth in a body. The body is to be redeemed.

360 Now, the soul is redeemed, because it was in sin. So God come down, by a process of justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, and redeemed your soul.

« 32 † Now, did you notice, there was three pulls, or three turns, of it? When they went out, first, and call to them that were... or bidden to come, and they didn't do it. So there went out a healing campaign, went out to get the blind and halt. And still there were room, so he went out and compelled the good, bad, and indifferent; they should come in.

33 Now, you read another parable of this, something on order of it, in Matthew 22:1 to 10, if you'd like to read it, later on. But I--I drew this subject from there: Is Your Life Worthy Of The Gospel?

56-1006 A.WEDDING.SUPPER_ CHICAGO.IL SATURDAY_

« E-28 † Now, then the--the servant come back and said, "Lord..." That was down from Luther on down to Wesley age. All kinds of excuses made. "Oh, well, we got other things to do."

But then, when the servant come back and said, "I done all this and they got all excuses." Watch what he said to the preacher now.

"Supper's already fixed." Amen. It's already past time. Said, "I want you to give the supper call now. Leave them alone, they won't come anyhow."

But go out and start a healing campaign. Bring in the lame, the blind, the halt. And everybody hollers today about healing campaigns to get a crowd. "What's the matter with you, preacher?" That's the Light of the Bible. That's right. "Go, get the lame and the halt." That's the last call before the coming of the Lord according to the Bible. Go out and call a healing campaign. Miracles and signs and wonders will be done. And bring them in 'cause I'm--I'm going to have My table set full." Amen. "I've made it. I've killed My fatlings. I'm going to have a real supper and you go out and bring in the lame, the halt, the blind, the afflicted." Brother, that's a meal call.

Divine healing is the program of today. That's God's last call, is Divine healing. And then these fellows that wouldn't accept it and set back with their big old dry theology, tries to say that we put Divine healing in the paper to get a crowd. Jesus said to. Amen. Oh, that would make a Baptist shout if he had the same thing. That's right. Divine healing is the order of the day.

50-0813A THE.RESURRECTION.OF.LAZARUS_ CLEVELAND.OH SUNDAY_

« E-36 † And if God made a way for a flower to live again, what about a man that's made in His image? The freeze might come, but when a man's borned again of the Spirit of God, there's Life in there, Eternal Life that'll stand the freeze. And when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, there'll be a church to go up to meet Him in the air. Amen.

You're going to call me a holy-roller anyhow, and I might as well have a good time anyhow. So there you are.

Notice. Yes, sir. There's a Life comes from God that only God alone can give. The freeze might come. It might break me this way or that way. But when that germ of Life in there, it'll stay. That's right. And God will bring it forth again in a resurrection. Oh, my.

54-0305 GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY.OF.DEALING.WITH.SIN_ PHOENIX.AZ FRIDAY_

« E-17 † Someone said to me not long ago, said, "Don't you think those people that holler, 'Amen,' and 'Hallelujah,' and all like that in the meeting, don't you think they're just a little excited?"

I said, "No, they're just shining. That's right. It's not me that's shining; it's not you that's shining; it's God shining on us in the Holy Spirit, giving you birth."

As the morning star's reflecting the light of the absent Christ by His power and demonstration, the Church sheds forth the Light in this dark time. Soon daylight will come and the Son of Righteous will rise with healing in His wings. This mortal will take on immortality. We'll see Him as He is, and be made like unto His own glorious body, and shall never be sick, or a heartache, or a disappointment. That's... We're waiting for the Son.

58-1130 WATCHMAN.WHAT.OF.THE.NIGHT_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN SUNDAY_

« E-74 † The shadows are falling. Christ is appearing. That's why signs and wonders are appearing. It's that great satellite reflecting off of the morning stars with healing in His wings. And if He will bring healing from the reflection of His Presence, what will He do when He comes in Person.

These corruptible bodies of ours will be changed and made like unto His own glorious body. What will it be when He comes? Until He comes, we're thankful for the sunlight of His Presence. As the morning stars do, I climb the ramparts of glory and setting there to hail His coming in this dark hour. Let us pray.

« E-24 † Let us bow our heads. Before we pray, I would like to know while you have your heads bowed in prayer, how many would say by an uplifted hand, "Brother Branham, remember me in prayer." Raise your hands. My, thousands.

O Lord, we are all earthbound people. We got our faces turned towards the dust from which You taken us. And someday we will return to that dust if Jesus tarries. But O God, give into our hearts, Eternal Life. And someday when Jesus comes, though we be dust, when the Sun of righteousness rises with healing in His wings, this mortal will take on immortality, and we shall be resurrected, and caught up to meet Him in the air. Each one of those hands, give them Eternal Life, for we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.

« 83 † And today that gives us a great testimony, as a witness of the God of creation. Because that when we are in the season of mortal life, raising our children, marrying and bringing forth families, this is a life or the season of mortal life. But when we have been borned of above, the body returns to the dust from where it come, and the spirit goes down to where it come from, or goes up, rather, to where it come from, to the God Who gave it, and there will come another season. And that season that will come will be the immortal season. And when the Son of God rises with healing in His wings, it'd be totally impossible to hold those bodies in the ground any longer. They'll come forth in the brightness of the Son of God. Very nature itself testifies of that.

« E-56 † What is it? Civilization has traveled with the sun. The oldest civilization we have is India--or, I mean China. And then the civilization has traveled with the sun (and notice), and has come till we got to the West Coast.

Now, they can't go any further. If they go, they go back east again. And notice. "There come a day," said the prophet, "that it wouldn't be called night or day." It was a dismal day, foggy. You get it over here on the coast. You got enough light you can see how to get around, but it ain't like the original light, the sun that rises on a clear morning.

And as the s-u-n rises in the east and sets in the west, the Gospel of the S-o-n rose in the east and setting in the west. And now the same sun that rises in the east, s-u-n, is the same sun that sets in the west. And the same S-o-n (Hallelujah.) that, throw His Light of Gospel, and power, and His Messiahic sign to the eastern people... In the last days now the clouds has cleared back away from the church, and the S-o-n rises with healing in His wings, and brings forth the power, evidence of His resurrection, that He still remains the Son of God. "It shall be Light in the evening time," God's provided way, yes.

« 163 † Now, the future, He holds it. How do I know when He's coming? When is He coming? I don't know, but He'll be here. That's right. When will He do thus and thus? When will the curse go off the earth? When will these blessed reflections of God's love, of trees standing here and shining out, and the flowers and things, when will they immortal grow? I don't know, but they will. When will all the reflection of men's hearts desiring to live, and hospitals and doctors and operations, and crying and grief, when will it all cease, to a glorious reign with Jesus of a thousand years of Shalom? When will it? I don't know. He said it would be there. I don't know how He's going to do it, but His spoken Word will be a-vindicated when the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings. And the healing part there will not be a physical healing as you think, as saying somebody's got a sickness and it'll be taken away from them. That's what He's doing now, in type. But the whole creature will be changed! This mortal will take on immortality. This old age will jump into youth. Amen. Well, how will it be? I don't know, but it'll be there.

« E-24 † Now, when the invitations was given out, the excuses was made. Then back they come and said, "They won't come." Now, if you notice, the last time that He sent them out, was to go into the hedges, and highways, and byways, get the lame, halt, and blind, and compel them to come in. For God is determined that His table will not be set, and there'll be nobody there. God wants His tables full. The fatlings has been killed. Everything's been fixed and everything's ready. And if you'll notice, the last great message that was to go, was to go into the highways and byways.

Now, I like that about this little church here, feeding the poor, taking in the lame, the halt, the withered, praying for the sick and... I reading this little sign here, what give me the idea. "And the lame shall walk," it said. Certainly.

The last calling and the last invitation was a great time to sweep across the country in Divine healing. That was the last. And we're winding up the end of that, just pulling in the loose ends right now. So how close is the coming of the Lord?

Go into the hedges and byways. Bring them in, compel them to come. Bring in the lame, the halt, the blind. They had the healing service.

The healing service for Divine healing is--is never the principle of any meeting. It shouldn't be. We don't just take the service for healing only. As Brother Bosworth used to say, "Divine healing is like the bait on a hook. You don't show the fish the hook; you show him the bait. And he grabs the bait and gets the hook." So that's the way it is about Divine healing; it brings the people together, and then the hook is the Gospel that catches the fishes for God's Kingdom.

« 37 † Now, remember, this Message started first with Divine healing, performing miracles. Now, if God let that go through a ordinary church, just like we already had, then it wasn't God. God don't have to show off; He don't--He don't have to do these things, to entertain us, like we Americans are used to (entertainment), but He does it to attract the attention of the people, that He's fixing to do something.

38 Look at Him Hisself when He come. "The wonderful little prophet, the rabbi, the prophet of Galilee." Why, His ministry was wonderful, He was welcome in every church.

39 But one day He set down, said, "I and My Father are One."

40 "Oh, my!" That was out. "Away with such a fellow!"

41 "Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His Blood, you have no Life in you."

« 192 † And any Message that's come in, a genuine, borned Message of God, is different from the old trend. When a Divine healing went forth, not long ago, did you notice how the impersonators followed it? See? And every one of them went right in them organizations, staying there. Does anyone know that there had to be a Message follow that? Why, God don't entertain us! He attracts our attention with something, and when He attracts our attention, then He's got His Message.

193 Look when He was first come on the earth, and started His ministry, "O young Rabbi, we want You over here in our church. We... Come on down here." The young Prophet. "Oh, we want You over here. Come here."

194 But one day He stood up and said, "I and My Father are One."

195 "Oh, my! He makes Hisself God."

196 "Except you eat the Flesh of the Son of man and drink His Blood, you have no Life in you."

197 "He's a vampire! We have nothing to do with that."

198 Them apostles set right there; thousands left Him, but those apostles were ordained to Life. He said so. They couldn't explain It; they believed It. They stayed right with It because, said, "No man could do these works."
