ROMANS 8:14-23

«  65       †          Now, the very essence of the Message that was sent, that, "He is risen from the dead," we His beneficiaries, we who share the resurrection with Him, draw benefits from this, by proving to the world that He is alive. We cannot do it by word only. We cannot do it by some tradition of man. We only reflect exactly what we're pointing to.

66    I'm afraid today that too many of us are not getting people to Christ. We're getting them to a church, to a theory. But we must get them to Christ. He is the only One, and the only One that has Life. "He that has the Son has Life."

67    And if the life of a man that's dead be projected in you, you will live the same life he lived.

68    If the blood of a man was a certain type, and you took the blood from one man and changed the blood of the one man into another, he would absolutely be that typed blood.

69    And if your spirit that's in you is reckoned dead, and you are anointed with the Life that was in Christ, is upon you! Romans 8:11 said, "If the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, dwells in you, It also quickens your mortal body," that same Life, them same powers, them same beneficiaries, that He had here on earth, from God. He redeemed you, a Seed that was foreknown by God, whose names was put on the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world.

«  E-50       †        Now, they went and got some of this manna. You know, David must have tasted a little of that. Did you ever taste any of this spiritual manna? I seen people get so much of it till they lick their lips. I have. Just a real gastronomical jubilee (Amen.), spiritually speaking, oh my, it fills you out. You know when you get real weak and eat a great big square meal, how good you feel?

You know, a fellow will go to a doctor and say, "Doctor, I'm sick, I'm weak." Say, "What's the matter?"

"Don't know." He asks him a little physical things.

"Well, yes, that's all right."

"Well, when did you eat last?"

"I ate a half a cracker day before yesterday."

"Brother, you're just hungry."

That's what's the matter with the Church today, it's anemia. Because they're not getting enough spiritual food. If they got the Bible, brother, it would put the Blood of Christ into the veins of the believer. New life, Life comes from the Blood. Amen. The anemia condition of the Church, pitiful, pale cheeked, my, my. We need a transfusion to start us off. Amen.

«  30       †          More and more, I am made to believe that people are not getting to Christ.

Now, I am here to try to help in every way that I can, and make my statement as clear as I know how to make them. And you suffer with me if you will.

31    As I look and preach across the nation, and watch the people, I--I am fully persuaded that the people are not getting to Christ. And I believe that it's the enemy that's throwed this hindrance. Because, the reason I believe this, He is not the object that they have been pointed to. They have either been pointed to a--a--a dogma, or a doctrine, or a party, or experience, or a sensation, or something like that, instead of being pointed to Christ, the Word.

That's why I think that people are resting their Eternal destination upon some dogma, or some sensation. Like, some say, "I danced in the Spirit. I--I spoke with tongues. I--I--I felt fire run over me." And do you know, all those things can be impersonated by the devil?

«  99       †          Now He's got to judge the church, someday. And if He judges it by the Catholic church, which they say He will, then which one of the Catholic churches will He judge it by? They different one from the other. If He judges it by the Methodist's, you Baptists are gone. If He judges it by the Pentecostal's, the rest of you is gone.

100    But He won't judge it by the church. The Bible said, "He'll judge the world by Jesus Christ, and Christ is the Word." So you see we're without excuse, It's the Word of God, that He judge us; and no matter how small, one word significance to This, said Revelation 22:18.

«  71       †        Now ask God to... while we're talking on Revelation, ask Him to give you a revelation of This. For It can only be known by revelation, and you can only be saved by revelation. You have a knowledge of It, intellectually, but you can't be saved until It's revealed to you. "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." That's what the Bible says. No man can say Jesus is the Christ until he has received the Holy Ghost. He might say, "The pastor says so, the Bible says so." Them are truths. "The church says so." That is true. But you don't know yourself until the Holy Ghost has revealed It to you, and He's become in you. "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." Not by knowledge, not by intellectual.

«  149       †        I remember the first sermon I preached. I got up there, and I--I thought I did real well, and all of the old ladies set around and they cried a little bit, you know, and said, "Oh, what a wonderful boy."

The old pastor, Doctor Davis, was an old lawyer. I went down, and he said, "I want to see you down at the house."

I said, "All right." I walked in next day, you know, all swelled out. I said, "How did I do, Doctor Davis?"

Said, "The rottenest I ever heard."

I said, "What?"

He said, "The worst I ever heard."

"Oh," I said, "Brother Davis, everybody was crying."

He said, "Yes, they cry at funerals, cry at births, everything else." He said, "What it is, Billy, you never quoted one bit of God's Word. You talked about some mother that had done gone on, or something like this, and got everybody to crying." Said, "You're not borned again upon things and sensations of this earth; you're born by the Word." Said, "Billy, I..."

Oh, he cut the wind right out of me. I'm glad he did. See, see? Not jumping up and down, hollering, that isn't it. It's the Word that makes alive. The Word's quickened, not experiences; the Word.

«  E-45       †        And if it's the Word of the Lord, then it's His premeditated thoughts. Amen. That's how we have Eternal Life, because we was spoken into existence by God, not joined into a church, but born by the Word, the original Seed, that God said, "Let there be," and there was. Amen. That's the way God borns His children today, in the womb of their heart with His Word, and His Word takes root and grows. How can a spirit in a human heart say it's of God and deny this Word, when the very God-Word itself is what's in the human heart? Amen. If it isn't, it's something else, and it isn't the Holy Spirit in there. All right.

«  106       †          Now, let's--let's diagnose that down; like take the chemistry of the blood, or the chemistry of water, or whatever it is. See? Let's--let's diagnose it down. Why, why did He give the Word? Because... Are you ready? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] The Word is Eternal. ["Amen."] See? And if God made a promise that is Eternal, and there's nothing nowhere can stop it. They couldn't. Turn every atom upside down, and turn it backwards, could never pierce the Word of God, one little Word. See? Cause, Jesus said, "Both heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." See? That's the best weapon there is. It's the Word of the Eternal God.

107    Now, what is the Word of God? The Word of God is God Himself. So, God gave the believer Himself. Amen. Whew! It's God Himself. He gave the believer Himself, to attack the enemy by. In other words, He's the Father. And the Word is God, then the Word is our Father. We're born by the Word, and He's standing in the forefront for His children. Amen. There you are. He's standing out there for His children. What are we scared about? The Rapture is sure. The Coming is sure. Every blessing that's been promised is ours. All belongs to us. Now, if we kind of slack up and say...

«  E-70       †        When Jesus questioned, said, "When I come to the earth..." He didn't say, "Will I find churches? Will I find sincerity? Will I find teachers? Will I find teaching the Bible? Will I find doing this?" He said, "Will I find any faith?"

You got the power. You need faith. Positionally know where you are in Christ, then yield yourself. Hallelujah. Don't think I'm crazy...?... If I am, leave me alone. I'm happier this way than I was the other way. That's right. I'm not crazy. That's true. I just feel... I know that my Redeemer liveth. I know He liveth. Yes. Oh, I can see Him as He moves and walks.

I know He's in this building right now. I know that His Presence "to wherever two or three are gathered together I'll be in their midst."

«  6       †        Bible teaching is usually a little treacherous, a little, you know, kind of walking out on the thin ice; we call it. But we just feel that maybe at this point and at this time, it might be good to kinda bring the--the church to what I think to a--a complete understanding, positionally, of what we are in Christ Jesus. And sometimes I think that preaching is a wonderful thing, but I believe sometimes, Brother Beeler, that teaching goes beyond that, it kindly... Especially to the church.

Now, preaching usually catches the sinner, brings him under condemnation by the Word. But teaching places a man positionally what he is. And we can never rightly be able to have faith until positionally we know what we are..

«  312       †        "The hidden manna," a little something special. What is the special? Not something to... The blessings of the Holy Ghost? Oh, no, that's for the whole congregation. But the "hidden manna" was a special revelation 'cause he had to teach the others. See? Was a little more knowledge of the Scripture, that he could teach others. He's supposed to be. Is that right? You'll never live no higher than your pastor. You just remember that, see. And so... 'Cause he's the shepherd that feeds you. If he's the shepherd, he's got to know where the manna is, to feed the--the sheep. Is that right? Now, a little special. And watch this just a minute, the revelation, the hidden manna.
