» 3 † ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
EPHESIANS 1:4
» 4 † According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
EPHESIANS 1:5
» 5 † Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
EPHESIANS 1:6
» 6 † To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
GALATIANS 4:1-7
» 1 † ¶ Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
GALATIANS 4:2

GALATIANS 4:3
» 3 † Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

GALATIANS 4:5

GALATIANS 4:6
» 6 † And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
GALATIANS 4:7
» 7 † Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

« E-25 † Now, all that was a type of the church today. For when God brought us into His Kingdom by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and become a child of God, God sent us the best Tutor that there was in all heaven: the Holy Spirit. He is to nurture, and to bring up, and to raise, and to teach the church. Brother, we need Holy Spirit teaching and tutoring.
Now, now, if this child did good or if he did evil, think of what that tutor would do when he went in the presence of the father of the child and has to bring a report of disobedience. How that tutor must have blushed in the presence of the father. "Your child is not doing good. Oh, he's sassy; he's snoopy, and he won't behave. He won't try to listen. He won't try to learn. He just doesn't care." Oh, how that teacher must feel to stand and talk to the parent like that.
57-0310E HEAR.YE.HIM_ PHOENIX.AZ SUNDAY_
« E-26 † I often wonder, brother, sister, I hope... This is not meant to hurt, but it's meant to put something before you. How do you think the Holy Spirit must be, to go before God to bring our character, our fussing, fighting, making differences, separating brotherhood. How do you think it must be when He has to go before the Father and say, "Your child didn't go to church tonight. The bells rung, but he stayed home to look at television."
How it must be to say, "Your daughters, that you gave the Holy Spirit, oh, they're dressing so immorally, till they're making men on the street lust for them." How that must hurt the Holy Spirit to bring such a message as that. How it must be when He goes and says, "Father...?... How that they had meetings and they won't do this and won't do that. How I speak to their hearts to move them up and nurture them by the way, and they won't listen to it." How the Holy Spirit must feel.
57-0322 HEAR.YE.HIM_ OAKLAND.CA FRIDAY_
« E-31 † And it's altogether a beautiful type of God, our Father, sending to us, the church, the Tutor, the Raiser, the Holy Spirit. God found the best Tutor that there was in heaven to put over His church: the Holy Spirit, not some intellectual being that's got a lot of education more than they got knowledge to know how to control it. And the church was not to be raised on intellectuals, but it was to be tutored, not by denomination, but it was to be tutored by the Holy Spirit. That's God's Tutor.
57-0322 HEAR.YE.HIM_ OAKLAND.CA FRIDAY_
« E-32 † And what do you think that that tutor would do to come before the father and have to tell him how his children was progressing. I sometimes wonder how the Holy Spirit must feel to go in the Presence of God with the character of His children today, we who call ourselves sons and daughters of God. How He must, like the prophet of old, blush in the Presence of God: How the church has become so indignant about the things of God; how they go off on little tantrums and don't even notice the Word of God.
57-0807 HEAR.YE.HIM_ EDMONTON.AB WEDNESDAY_
« E-14 † Now, if you will pardon the expression... And now, what you believe of this, you take. And what you don't believe, you just lay aside as I do when I'm eating cherry pie. If I run into a seed, I don't throw the pie away, I just throw the seed away and keep on eating pie. You do likewise.
Now, what God was fixing to show here on Mount Transfiguration, it was--He was fixing to do just like He had them do in the Old Testament: placing of a son.
Now, when a son was born into the family, he was a son at birth. And there's where you Pentecostal people jumped the fence. You thought that when you were born again that settled it. That only was the beginning. That's right. You are a son, surely, when you're born. But when this son was born, he wasn't heir of all things yet. He had to go through the testings and trials to find out if he was the right type of son to fall heir to all things. And listen, God's Word said, that every son that cometh to God must first be tried and chastened, child-trained, before he can be adopted into the family.
57-0807 HEAR.YE.HIM_ EDMONTON.AB WEDNESDAY_
« E-15 † Now, this father taken the son and turned him over to a raiser, a tutor, school teacher, otherwise. And this school teacher had to bring word to the father just how that child was progressing, if he was slothful, or if he was dilatory, or if he was a bright, intelligent, wide awake, young man.
Now, the father had to find the man the right kind of a tutor. And that's a beautiful type of the church, that when we become sons of God, borned into the Kingdom of God, the Father sent to us the best Tutor that He could find--The Holy Spirit. Now, He never sent us an archbishop to be our tutor, or general overseer, or a district man. There's where we've made our mistake. The church is governed by the Holy Spirit. That's God's government for His church. But we've adopted other tutors, other raisers.
58-0209A HEAR.YE.HIM_ SOUTH.BEND.IN SUNDAY_
« E-23 † But now notice, "In My Father's house..." he was strictly with the Bible. Back in the Old Testament when a father owned a big kingdom, and a child was born into that kingdom, he was a son as soon as he was born. But yet, that son didn't--was... He would be heir of all the father had if his character was right, but first his character had to be proved. Now, you ministers know where I'm going to; it's the placing of a son.
Now, but his character didn't show up right; he didn't inherit anything; he was just a son. So then, the father, in order to get this great son of his who he loved... He had business to be doing, so he got a tutor, trainer, over his children. And he sought through the places till he found the best man he could find, because his son's education, and the future of his son, depended on what kind of a training that child got. And that's the way it is today in the Kingdom of God, that when we're born in the Kingdom of God, God sought out the best Tutor that He could find for the Church, and that was the Holy Spirit.
58-0209A HEAR.YE.HIM_ SOUTH.BEND.IN SUNDAY_
« E-24 † The Holy Spirit is the Teacher of the Church. How many knows that? Sure, the Holy Spirit's a Teacher. But we've adopted popes, and bishops, and everything instead. But the Holy Spirit is the Tutor, and the Raiser, and the Teacher of the Body of Christ. "Those who are led by the Spirit have no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, that walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." And now, the Holy Spirit teaches the Church.
Now, the--this teacher must be an honest person, not a man that wants the father to pat him on the back; but a man that'll be honest with the father. If the child is disobedient, he'd walk up with a shame face, and say, "Sir, I'm sorry to bring this message, but your child is so dilatory. He doesn't listen to nothing. He's not concerned at all." How the father must feel.
And how the Holy Spirit must feel when He comes before God the Father, with the character record of His Church, when we're separated in nine hundred and something different denominations.
58-0328 HEAR.YE.HIM_ MIDDLETOWN.OH FRIDAY_
« E-19 † I was so surprised a few nights ago to raise my shade and look into a YMCA. YM young man, CA, with a bunch of young women over there doing a rock-and-roll. What does that "C" mean in YMCA? I thought it stood for Christ. If our churches has become that polluted, and our educational system, what's left for us but chaos?
And the church itself has become so degraded, and our places to teach this modern rock-and-roll, Elvis Presley nonsense, and then call yourselves Christians. By your fruits you are known. You know better than that.
Oh, that's what's the matter today. We've adopted a different tutor for the church of the living God, than what God gave us. He looked out the best tutor He could find. And our tutor's not some bishop or some pope, but it's the Holy Spirit was given as a Tutor to the Church to raise it. And you're aware of that.
The Holy Spirit is to raise the Church and to nurture it in honor and respect of the Father and of His Word. What a son God's got now. But we've adopted some man with their theology and some of their man-made creeds, and you see where we've got to? And then you holler about sin, and about communists, and our churches that polluted? Pot can't call kettle black. It's exactly right.
I
know that's old fashion preaching, but it'll save you. It'll make you
different.
61-0423 ABRAHAM.AND.HIS.SEED.AFTER.HIM_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_
« E-45 † So when the father got the very best tutor he could find, the best raiser... Now, how that tutor must've blushed when he walked up in the front of the father, and say, "Oh, your son..."
"How's he? How is my son doing?" The father was busy. And had a great kingdom, and many, be like many places and tenants and business to take care of. Now, how that tutor must have felt to walked up, knowed he was hired by the father, to walk up and say, "Oh, your son, hm. Oh, he's horrible. I--I just can't make him listen to a thing. He's going to have his own hard-headed way, the most hard-headedest kid I ever seen in my life. He's just... He won't listen. I'll... I've got your book of laws here; I lay them right down to him, but he knows what he's going do. His old man might run it one way, but he's going to run another way." How that tutor must have blushed when he had to come and tell the father that. How the father must have felt about it too.
And how the Father must feel today. I hope this don't hurt, just enough to make you get straightened out. For my hour is soon at hand.
62-0711 HEAR.YE.HIM_ SPOKANE.WA WEDNESDAY_
« E-52 † Now. Notice in the Old Testament now, this boy when he was born into a family... Now, the first thing the father did after he got old enough to begin to be taught... Now, he's a son when he's born, certainly. He's the family name. He's got it. But he has no inheritance yet. He has to find out what kind of a person that's going to be before he has an inheritance.
Now, the father, to be sure that that son had the right training, hunted the very best tutor that he could find. And he never got one that would just pull punches to find favor, or something like that, say, "Well, I'll make a report on the boy, he's doing all right, because the father might lift me up a little." He's going to get somebody that's going to tell him the truth. And he...
62-0711 HEAR.YE.HIM_ SPOKANE.WA WEDNESDAY_
« E-53 † And now, if the boy did real well, how the--the tutor'd like to walk up to the father with a good honest faith, and face, and say, "Yes, sir. Your son is doing fine." But how it would be shameful if he'd walk up there and tell his boy is a renegade; how he'd hate to do that.
Now, I wonder today, that when God has called His Pentecostal church about fifty years ago, I wonder if... And when He called the church at the beginning, what kind of a Tutor did He put over the church? He sent the Holy Spirit to be the Tutor. And today, we've twisted it around with bishops, and cardinals, and popes, and everything else with all kinds of ecclesiastical ideas and dogmas, that's added and took away from that Bible, till the people don't know what to believe. Right. They don't know which way to turn.
57-0125 HEAR.YE.HIM_ LIMA.OH FRIDAY_
« E-23 † Now, hear it is. I want you to see it. Notice, what a beautiful picture that when a child was born into the Kingdom of God, the Father has given us a Tutor, the Holy Spirit. Not a bishop, but a Holy Spirit, a Raiser.
And this tutor brought word to the father how the child progressed. And so does the Holy Spirit bring to the Father how His church is progressing. Oh, my. How He must dread to tell the Father the way we behave ourselves. Why, sure. All confused, one is this a way and one... Oh, what a disgrace it is. All separated and divided, arguing, and fussing, and disputing over little petty differences: unbelief, unthankful, unholy, without even natural affection when we should be in love with Father.
Now, so as the tutor, the raiser that was selected by the Father... Oh, do you see it? The Father never selected an archbishop. The Father never selected something else or some denomination, oh, as good as it is. The Father selected the Holy Spirit to be our Teacher. He is to raise us.
57-0125 HEAR.YE.HIM_ LIMA.OH FRIDAY_
« E-24 † Now, watch the--the tutor's position. What the tutor is to do is to guide and to teach. And he will never teach anything contrary to the schoolbook. Amen. I hope that went into the left side under the fifth rib. Notice. In the Book, this is God's Eternal Word. And the Holy Spirit feeds only on the Word of God. Men...?... shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. You see it? The Holy Spirit keeps on the Word.
Now, that what He teaches has faith in the Word. Believe the Word. But now, we've got away from that. We believe the church. And with all due respect, great programs are crossing the waves which ought not to be even on television, saying that the Bible is nothing. It's the church. But the Bible said, "Let every man's word be a lie and Mine be the Truth. Whosoever shall take one thing out of this Book or add one thing to it, his part will be taken from the Book of Life says the Word of God.
60-0313 HEAR.YE.HIM_ PHOENIX.AZ SUNDAY_
« E-25 † And God does the same to His children. When a man is borned into the body of the Lord Jesus, and becomes the son of God, God has sought the heavens for the best Tutor He knows of to put over His children. And it's not a bishop, but it was the Holy Ghost, God put over His Church to raise His Church to believe in spiritual things and supernatural workings of God. He would not put a bishop over His Church that doesn't believe in the days of... blaze... the days of miracles is past and all the supernatural's gone. God wouldn't do that. And the Holy Spirit was sent to govern and guide the church. God gave it to the Holy Spirit to do this.
60-0313 HEAR.YE.HIM_ PHOENIX.AZ SUNDAY_
« E-26 † The father would not seek a man would try to get a feather in his hat, as we call it, and say, "Well now, he will... he knows I'm the father, so he will... the son... the little... renegade, like, but he'd come up and... (to get a feather in his hat), 'Oh, your son's doing very well.'" He wouldn't do that. He got a man that would tell him the truth, for he wanted to know just exactly the welfare of that boy at all times. That's what God did. He never trusted it with any pope, bishop, or anything else; He sent the Holy Ghost upon the Church to be the Teacher and the Raiser of the Church. Therefore, the Holy Spirit will be honest with God.
61-0416 ABRAHAM.AND.HIS.SEED.AFTER.HIM_ BLOOMINGTON.IL SUNDAY_
« E-66 † We know in the Old Testament what happened? In the Old Testament there was such a thing as the son being born in a home. Now, be sure you get this. Are you hearing? Say, "Amen." [Congregation says, "Amen"--Ed.] I know you think I'm crazy this afternoon, or maybe all the time, but I want you to get it. Now watch, what He did.
When a man was borned, or a child born into a family, he was borned a son. Is that right? But he had no inheritance yet. He had to be tutored. That right? Now, when you receive the Holy Ghost... There's where the Pentecost made a great mistake. Said, "Glory to God, we got it. That's all there is to it." No, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
In the Bible when a baby was borned on a man's farm, he went around and hired the best tutor he could find. I'll tell you a beautiful display of it, is the 17th chapter of Saint Matthew's, the Mount of Transfiguration, if you want to put that down and read it. How God did His own Son just exactly like... God don't... He has to keep His Own laws. He can't defile His Own laws or break His Own laws. He can't be God and just and do it. And He has to keep them to be just, and holy, and righteous. Notice what He did now.
61-0416 ABRAHAM.AND.HIS.SEED.AFTER.HIM_ BLOOMINGTON.IL SUNDAY_
« E-67 † The baby when it was born, the father was busy about things, so he hired the best tutor he could hire to raise the child. And then the tutor brought the word to the father how the child was progressing. Is that right, brethren? We know in Galatians there and different places where the Scripture speaks of it. And it was called "placing of a son." Now listen just for a few more minutes.
Now, what if the tutor come up... Now, remember the father found the... If he loved that boy, he'd give him the best tutor he could find. You believe that? That was His son. Now, he didn't want to buy a--get a tutor there would want to put a straw in his hat and tell him a lie about the child. He wanted to know exactly what was going on with that child. So he hired a real good tutor. And the tutor would come up. Now if the father...
If the boy was progressing and doing fine, how the tutor must have felt, walk up and say, "Say, fine." But what if that tutor would just, what if that boy was just a renegade, wouldn't pay no attention, wouldn't do nothing about the father, how the tutor must felt when come up and say, "Yes, sir, he's not doing too good. No, sir, he... I--I--I'm sorry, but he's not doing too good."
« 363-1 † LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9
Now I said a moment ago that the false vine came into full fruition in this age. Her fruit would mature and ripen. That is correct. This evil-spirited church, full of iniquity, will be revealed as the mustard seed that grew into a tree wherein lodged the fowls of the air. At her head will be the antichrist, the mystery of iniquity. All this is true. And if this is true, then it must also be true that the Bride Church will mature, and her ripeness shall be an identification with her Lord by means of the Word, and her Head Who will come to her is the Mystery of Godliness, Which indeed is Christ. And as the false church with all cunning and diabolical power made up of political force, physical force and demons of darkness come against this true vine, the true vine with the fullness of the Spirit and the Word will do the very acts of power that Jesus did. Then as she nears her Headstone, becoming like Him through the Word, Jesus will come that the bride and Groom may be forever united as one.
« 363-2 † LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9
Already the visible manifestations of what I have been telling you are seen all around us. The ecumenical move of the tares is factual. But also it is a fact that the prophet for the last age must be bringing forth a message from God that will forerun the second coming of the Lord, for by his message will the hearts of the children be turned back to the Pentecostal fathers, and with the restoration of the Word will come the restoration of the power.
60-0522M ADOPTION.3_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN AD.3 SUNDAY_
« 163 † You believe in dispensations? Bible said so, "In the dispensation of the fulness of time..." What is the fulness of time? There's been a dispensation of, well, there was a dispensation of the Mosaic law. There was a dispensation of--of--of John the Baptist. There was a dispensation of Christ. There's a dispensation of church organization. There's dispensation of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Now's the dispensation of adoption, what the world's waiting, groaning. "And when the fulness of time comes, when the dispensation of the fulness of time..." What is that fulness of time? When the dead rises, when sickness ceases, when--when all the earth ceases to groan. "The fulness of the dispensation of time..." Watch this.
When in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ,...
Aren't you glad? How is He going to do it? Gather together all things in Who? [Congregation says, "Christ"--Ed.] How do you get in Christ? ["By one Spirit"--Ed.] By one Spirit we're all baptized into ["One Body'--Ed.] one Body. And that Body is Who's Body? ["Christ's"--Ed.] Already judged, He took our judgment. Then what are we? "When I see the ["Blood"--Ed.] Blood, I'll pass over you." Every time He looks at the Body, there It is setting there, bloody. I'm in there by how? The Holy Ghost. He passes over. Oh, my.
And when the fulness of the dispensation of time, that he might gather together... all things in Christ, both which are in heaven...
