« E-52 † This morning as I was going in to the breakfast a sweet little boy came, put his arms around my neck. His father is one of the pastors here of the Assemblies of God. I believe he's on the platform. He was this morning. And the little boy was called out in the meeting somewhere and had crossed eyes-and his little eyes just as straight as mine is. That's been years ago.
And another little brother come up and shook my hand and said his little girl had a great big goiter on her throat. And I was down at Jack Moore's church. And said the Holy Spirit moved around and called her out there in the audience and told her. The goiter just vanished and disappeared and went away. There she was. Oh, my!
What is it? What is that Pillar of Fire? It's the Angel of the Lord. What is the Angel of the Lord? The same One was in the burning bush, the same One that was in Jesus Christ, the same One that's in you tonight. Amen. The same One here, the same great Lord Jesus.
« E-50 † Here stood that Baptist preacher there before me, with his square chin, his stern look; he said, "What did I tell you eight years ago, Brother Branham?"
I looked over to him, I said, "Sir, I apologize. I thought surely they would understand."
Just then the Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Lord, which you see discern the diseases and things, spoke here to my right side, and said, "So did Moses think that the Israelites would surely understand."
« 233 † Now, if you've got a need of God for sickness, for salvation, what... or get rid... Some of you women that hasn't got the grace enough to let your hair grow, some of you man that hasn't got grace enough to quit smoking cigarettes, some of you preachers hasn't got grace enough to accept the truth of the water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ, some of you sick people that's sick and sick to die, why don't you take this Word this morning. I'll tell you now, It's flesh among us! Take that Word in your hand.
234 Here hangs a picture on the wall, of the Angel of the Lord, the same One that led the children of Israel, same One that met Paul, the same One that was in Christ. And the same Holy Spirit is in you, in you, uniting you as one. What makes our hearts draw together for hundreds of miles? There's nothing like it in the country. They're coming to the Word.
« 197 † Will the audience believe the same? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Be reverent now. Now remember, be real reverent.
You say, "You're stalling, Brother Branham?"
198 Yes, certainly. I don't know the woman. It's got to take something else, the Angel of the Lord, the Holy Spirit Itself.
199 That Pillar of Fire that led the children through Israel, Israel through the wilderness. See, when He was there, He was Jesus. "Moses esteemed--esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than that of Egypt." He forsook Egypt.
« E-8 † And what if Moses said, "I will just take off my hat, Lord, that'll be just as good." But God didn't tell him his hat, He said, his shoes. I believe we must do just what the Scripture says do, no matter how hard it seems, and how indifferent from our teaching, we've got to do what God said do. He said, shoes, He meant shoes.
Moses slipped off his shoes, and started walking up in the... That was the--the Angel of the Lord, Jesus Christ, setting in that bush, the Pillar of Fire that led the children of Israel through the wilderness. And any teacher knows that the--the Angel of the covenant was Jesus Christ. He was the Rock that was in the wilderness. He was in the brass serpent. He was in all the patriarchs. He was in David. He was down through the New Testament. And He's in His Church tonight. Just the same Jesus the yesterday, today, and forever: changes not.
10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
2 † And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 † And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 † And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5 † And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
» 16 † And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
» 17 † And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour?
» 18 † And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?
» 19 † So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
» 20 † For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
» 21 † But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.
» 7 † The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
» 36 † Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
» 20 † But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
